In a recent operation, Saint Lucia police apprehended a 21-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl in Bois Patat, Castries, leading to the seizure of multiple firearms and nearly 200 rounds of ammunition. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) reported that the arrests occurred during a targeted operation involving officers from the Gang, Narcotics, and Firearms Unit, the Special Services Unit, and the Special Operations Team.

Upon executing a search warrant at a residence in Bois Patat, officers discovered a Glock 25 .380 pistol, a blue Uzi firearm, and a 9×19 509 9mm pistol. Additionally, they recovered 177 rounds of .380 ammunition, 14 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and five rounds of .40 ammunition. A quantity of cannabis was also found during the search.

The two females were taken into custody, and authorities have not yet disclosed the specific charges they may face. This operation underscores the RSLPF’s commitment to addressing illegal firearms and narcotics within the community.

In a related development, a similar operation conducted in October 2024 resulted in the arrest of five individuals in the La Clery, Marchand Boulevard, and La Guerre areas. During that operation, officers seized a significant quantity of cocaine and apprehended suspects on various charges, including drug possession and intent to distribute.

These operations highlight the ongoing efforts by Saint Lucia law enforcement to combat crime and ensure the safety and security of residents. The RSLPF continues to encourage the public to report any suspicious activities to aid in their crime-fighting initiatives.
